i put the wrong oil filter in my 2014 Grand jeep cherokee , low oil pressure control came on and istopped car and changed filter for correct one , pressure good , engine  managemnet light is on limit rpm to 4000 .

oil pressure etcis back at the correct level with new filter, Car never left my garage

The ECM nedds to be reset...it will need to go to the sealership...

The filter would not have caused a problem unless the threads were different and / or it leaked. My guess is it leaked.
