battery strength

Question type: General

i need to leave my car parked for 6 weeks.  Will the original equipment battery
hold enough charge to start. weather will be 60's, 70's.

Yes, it should be fine as long as everything is turned off (interior lights, etc.)

I would use a battery tender. The battery is 5 years old which means it is at (or near) the end of its life.

I too would recommend the battery tender method because even with everything "off", the battery will be run down by the ECM on standby mode. You could also disconnect the battery but be sure it is fully charged.
