Is it possible to replace a 2014 Honda Accord seat with another car company?

Asked by Marisa Jan 06, 2017 at 05:54 PM about the 2014 Honda Accord EX

Question type: Car Customization

I love everything about the Honda Accord, except the seat! It causes a
significant posterior pelvic tilt which leads to pain. I've tried cushions, wedges,
and pads from Relax the Back, but they raise me up, and at the seat's lowest
setting (manual controls only) my head is hitting the top of the car (and my
knees are still higher than my pelvis).
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

No. You must be very tall. You probably can buy after market seats though and you might be able to have the existing seats modified by a good upholstery shop. Do an internet search for car seats.

Years ago we did a lot of parts mixing. I put 70's Camaro bucket seats in 60's Ford F100. Fit great after I made a custom bottom frame for each seat to mount them to the floor with. As far as Are the mounting holes the same I don not know but you can make them so if you really want to.

These days things are completely different. There are safety considerations that no one back in the Good Ol' days would have ever thought of.

It had a lap belt but did not have shoulder/lap belts, I hit the left front bumper/corner in a spin around because of wet road and going into a curve and the 4.11 rear posi did the fish tail to the outside curve and then whipped itself to the inside opposite direction 160 degree's back toward the inside of curve to completely slide off the other side of the road in reverse and front left bumper drug the ditch and for how hard it hit the ditch barely did any damage but threw me to the other side of the truck and I hit my head on the passenger side door glass, and facing the back of the truck instead of the front it did not bust either my head or the glass and just bent the bumper a few inches and the trim around headlight was not perfectly round any more, that was about 1993-94 and I still remember that sudden stop on the door glass and seeing stars. After that I started wearing my seat belt years before it was law here. When it did its 160 so did I and it ended up on the opposite side of road facing the wrong way and I did a 160 to the opposite side of truck facing the wrong way.
