What is your alternator output voltage? Possibly not the issue with the running but could be. If battery voltage and alternator voltage is low you might have some electronics not wanting to work right due to low voltage. Fully charge battery and test output voltage of alternator. Loose battery connections specially the negative one could also cause similar issues. Check where it connects to the frame and motor.

so the battery was bad got that fixed but the car still runs like crap ive replaced the valve cover seal but there are no leaks in it new coil packs and its got a new cmp (camshaft position sensor i replaced the cmp when the car started acting up because when i tapped on it the car would fire up. to get to it i took the oil filter cap off the vanos sensor off and the (air filter boxfor more room) put it all back together the and the car fired up but it started running like crap has trouble staying started when you hit the gas the car shut bogs down oh i replaced the fuel pump about two weeks before all this happened

Was it running better before you took the items off for repair? If so Check all wire harnesses in the area of where you did the work. Also check for vacuum leaks.
