Trading car to dealer I'm still paying for

Asked by Deedric Aug 25, 2017 at 11:39 PM about the 2014 Chevrolet SS RWD

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I have a 2014 Chevy SS with very low
mileage. Less than 18,000. Excellent
condition. I have a note I can't handle.
Can I sell or trade my car to a dealer
and be from under that vehicle?

You likely owe more than it is worth so you will have to fill the gap with cash or another loan.

yeah, a dealer will do that- in a New York minute- but you will wind up with a smaller, lesser vehicle if you want a smaller note- something like a toyota yaris or somethin' brace yourself-

Don't go for a 7 year loan for low payments as you will wear out the car before it is paid off and you will be in worse financial shape than before.

You will probably be upside down. Sell it privately you best option . Dealerships will never give you what it is worth
