1989 ford f150 5.0 dying

My 1989 will die when I come to a stop when the temperature outside is hot but the gauge is normal. Before it dies it feels like its getting no fuel then dies. When trying to restart it sounds like a bad battery and will not start. If I let it sit for 45 minutes it will start right up. I replaced the ignition coil and ignition control module and still have the issue. Any ideas?

We had the same proplem it end up being a bad thormasate. Temp Gage was not showing running hot.
