i just bought a 87 ranger 4x4 and the dust cover is missing on the auto trans. does it go ob before the trans in between the block and trans?

Had the 4wd model......drive it till the wheels fall off....no problem.. yes it would be nice to have on but not a must.

Thanks, im in the woods constantly with it. Just wondering if i have to pull the trans to put one on???

I duck hunted with mine......you can imagine..but it should be a bolt on piece to cover the converter..pick one up at the salvage yard.

That's what i thought, thanks again. We do put them through alot!! Mine is solid and runs strong. I look forward to alot more time in the woods with it.
