I recently bought me a chevy cruze ltz 2014 manual transmission stucked gears

Since friday my car wont let me enter gears when i start the car .when the ignition key is on position i can easily move the gears but as soon i start the car i can no longer engage the 1-2-3 or any speed for that matter .
read somewher the shift lock my resolve the problem but its nowhere to be found.Can someone hel me locate it in the car .
