Question type: Maintenance & Repair

ok when i accelarate on the highway, anytime my rpm's go over 3000 my car doesn't shift and just rocks back and forth until i let off the gas just enough to let it shift. Does this mean my transmission is about to go out and i need to get it replaced or what is goin on?

bro honestly on the Taurus's once you fix the tranny it keeps messing up over and over and over again. I don't know how many times I've seen the same Taurus's come to my buddies shop because they keep going out. Sell the car!!

id recommend taking it in and getting the trans flushed, you could get it rebuilt for much cheaper than a brand new trans if the flush doesnt work.
