Why my car wont turn over

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My car just had the battery replaced. And it
i took it to a mechanic and he said the
alternator was good and the starter was
good. I then drove the car for the remainder
of the day then i turnt it off and came back
to it an hour later. The car sputtered and
then failed to turn over completely. I know
its not the battery and the alternator. But i
dont know what else to check. I've checked
the spark plugs and fuses. But I'm no
mechanic.

Im sure you have fixed it by now as this was in 2015... HOWEVER, for future readers, this EXACT thing happened to me no my 2002 Ford Taurus SEL... I Replaced the Alternator, Starter, Battery annnnd STILL NO GOOD!!! There is a fuse in the front fuse box under the hood. It is called a MEGA FUSE (approx. $5) I replaced it and..... GOOD TO GO!!
