The best way to determine which is the best exhaust system is to first ask what are you looking for. More sound, more power, better economy, and/or maintain the emissions as they are set at the factory. Do research, and as many different type of systems there are, there are a vast difference in costs also. You can get car show quality, or functional quality, steel, or stainless steel, diameter differences, flow through or "muffled" style mufflers, catalytic converters with or without restrictions. Sound? Looking of loud, medium sound, or quiet sounding exhaust? For my 1969 Corvette, I chose Hooker long headers, 2 1/2" stainless steel exhaust pipes hooking into stainless polished Magnaflow med headers, and for a 69, no cats. It is not real loud, but in todays standards, noisy. I can't sneak home either. I put sound suppression coating under my floor mats, which helps keep the engine and exhaust noise down until I punch it. The coating also helps keep the heat out. Do you online searching. Most reputable manufactures are putting out quality products.
