Engine Oil shooting out of the the distributor cap when running.

Engine Oil shooting out of the the distributor cap when running. It's
not the pvc. It only happens when I take the cap off.

sounds like the dist shaft inside is shot...replace the body/seals

Ya ... Kelly's probably right. When you take the cap off the rotor shaft rides up .... shouldn't be a difficult fix if the retainer bolt is at the base of the distributor,,,, Take the bolt completely out and MARK THE EXACT LOCATION OF THE ROTOR IN REFERENCE TO THE HOUSING ....AND DO NOT ROTATE THE ENGINE OR YOU WILL LOSE TIMING ... then you can pull the complete housing off the enging
