Where is water pump

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Where is the water pump on 03 (made 09/02) has
a 3.0 with dohc. Searched the web and everyone is
showing that the alternator on the car should be on
the very top, in which this is on the left bank and
down almost at the bottom of the engine.. this car
is a friends so I can't go look to determine the
information i just got, but is the water pump on the
driver's side, where as the other serpentine system
is on the passenger side?

there's one single belt on drivers side ( left bank) of engine that runs off the cam and turns the water pump. The serpentine belt is on the right side,( passenger ).
