Is it the alternator?

Asked by Guru168QM Sep 26, 2019 at 10:51 AM about the 2014 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2014 Ford Explorer, I've had to replace the battery twice, i bought it
new in 2014. The newest battery was purhcased 2 months ago, this morning it
was totally dead. Could the alternator be bad and not charging the battery? Any
other ideas?

All you need to check for a parasitic draw on the battery is a multi-meter. The process is rather easy to find the affected circuit, but too long to explain here. There are tons of videos on the net on how to check. Check there.
