Why does my 2014 XLT ABS warning light disengage my 4 wheel drive?

Ford Explorer XLT 4 wheel drive no longer engages when ABS warning light
constantly appears on dashboard.

That is how the system works, so scan for the ABS codes to find out why the light is on. Most probably a wheel speed sensor is faulty, dirty or the wiring is compromised.
