Door handle mechanism inside the door

Asked by Guru8R1NM Jan 07, 2020 at 01:17 PM about the 2014 Ford Explorer Base 4WD

Question type: General

I have a 2014 ford explorer where the door handle fell off. I ordered a new one
& when I went to put it on the mechanism inside the door that the handle
latches on is not there. How hard is it to get to this part to see what's wrong?

Door handle parts are quite common. Try RockAuto or even Auto Zone. The problem will be getting the inside door panel off. Not sure if this is easy or hard on your Explorer but your part is likely laying on the bottom of the door. Look first, then buy if needed.
