Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2014 Ford Escape has an engine surge when in park with the AC on.  I can
hear it and see it in the tachometer and actually see the hoses at the top of the
engine contract rhythmically.  What is causing this?

A few things to look to have your mechanic check. A vacuum leak or issue with the crank case venting. Also check if the AC system is properly charged and or you don't have an issue with the compressor?
