80's model cars with smaller engines had air condition cut off switches activated by vaccumm on acceleration. can anybody tell me where I can get on?

they were activated by vac on acceleration allowing more power.
I think some jap cars had them.
Do you know where I could get one?

CUT-OFF would not increase performance...still tryin' to wrap my head around that one....now nitrous...well that's a whole new can of bent crankshafts and mutilated bearings~

They were a vacuum switch that would open the circuit to the AC clutch. When the throttle was wide open the vacuum would decrease, the AC would turn off and more power to the wheels was available. -- Some of today's ECU's might provide the same function electronically.
