Upgraded turbo

Asked by Mitchell_WRX Mar 07, 2019 at 05:49 PM about the 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon

Question type: Car Customization

Hi everyone so I wanted to upgrade
my turbo in my Wrx wagon. I have a
VF 39 Turbo, What other parts would I
need to support this? Injectors,
Exhaust etc...

Injectors and the other stuff all depend on what level of boost you are planning. Keep the boost down if the engine is stock and you want it to last past next Tuesday. I suggest checking out the Naisoc forums and Subaru tuner sites.

There is no need for a bigger turbo with a stock engine. Unless you have mega bucks for a engine rebuild with race components you should stick to the stock turbo. You can get another 50 to 100 hp with other mods. Here is a guide. https://mindovermotor.com/2014/06/18/subaru-wrx-sti-modification-guide/
