Someone wants to go back on a trade in vehicles. Titles have been traded as well as the cars

Asked by Atg9 Jul 11, 2018 at 08:34 PM about the 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX Base

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I traded a Subaru WRX for an Audi A4. The person
drove the car twice and I have him a full
walkthrough of the vehicle. He took it home and
wants to go back on the trade. I would like to not go
back on the trade. Is there anything he can do in
terms of forcing me to trade the car back to him?

Check your states legislation. Some states have laws that allow. Are you a dealer? Did he sign bill of sale, did you sell as is? Title given? If yes to all. 90% chance he cant do anything

I would stick to the deal and tell them to stick to the deal.

Titles signed? Which State? Check your regulations. In some States a duplicate new Title can be generated in just a few days. If payment is complete and Titles signed you perhaps can insist on a contract being completed and irreversible.
