I lost my keys for my Subaru WRX (WRP10 05 model), what can I do?

Asked by Guru6555X Mar 12, 2020 at 08:05 AM about the 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I lost my keys for my Subaru wrx (2005 model)
and the dealership won’t do anything for me
as I bought the car unregistered from
Facebook marketplace and I lost the keys
within 2 days of ownership and my proof of
purchase apparently isn’t enough... I want to
fix this issue by buying a whole ignition key
set which includes the ignition barrel, key and
door and trunk locks that all match. Would
this be enough or do I need codes or ecu
swap etc?

I would go through the process of getting the title. Once you have that the dealer should be willing to make and program a new set of keys.
