Coolant reservoir cap

Hi! I need to replace the cap on my coolant overflow tank. It has to have the two
6" tubes that attach to the cap underneath and go into the tank. Any idea where
I can purchase one? I've exhausted my options where I live. Thanks!

I don't know where you live but if it's civilized enough to buy gas for a car, you should be able to find some rubber hose at the auto parts store, a hardware, or a plumbing supply house.....or cut a chunk off someone else's car.......just kidding.

LOL! Hey Mark! Thanks for the giggle and your suggestion, but I did that earlier today at my local Napa store, and the hose was a tad too large diameter wise. I was going to tighten it with a small tie wrap, but the hose wasn't pliable enough. I actually dropped one of the rubber tubes in the reservoir overflow tank and now having difficulty retrieving it. It was old and a little loose as well. The little nubby prong that the hose fits in to also went in with the hose. I'm going to use a turkey baster to remove the coolant and get a better grip on the rubber tube. Thanks again for your thoughts. Let me know if anything else comes to mind. Cheers!

The small tie wrap is a good idea but you could also use a small hose clamp for that task. It is not a pressurized connection so it doesn't have to be a tight fit.

I returned to my Napa shop today and got the next size smaller and it fits beautifully, no clamp or tie wrap needed. The issue now is one of the 2 hoses has slipped off, taking the hard round plastic nub that fits into the hose, with it. It is the venting hose. As long as there is some air getting into the overflow tank, do I really need that second hose? I'm a tad frustrated at the moment. FYI: I'm located just outside of Toronto. I am seriously going to look at scrap yards to see if a Suzuki Swift or Pontiac Firefly may be compatible.
