OK so I replaced the alternator but the starter
isn't engaging. I have dash lights and buzzer
but no turnover

I'll point out the obvious first. Did you give the battery a good charge before attempting to start. there might be just enough left in the battery to light the dash lights and ring the beacon, but not enough to engage the solenoid on the starter.

Dena I had the same problem, check your fuses, underneath the hood, it could be one of your fuses, could be bad.
