Question type: Maintenance & Repair

ive replaced both intake and outtake hoses for the radiator, as well as the thermostat, next im going to replace the waterpump
when i do my timing belt (hopefully later than sooner), my question is why is it still going in the red? also does anyone know where
the turbo spray nozzle is located at on the TMIC?... if anyone has any information it would be appreciated, the car has been sittin
in the garage for the last 3 weeks...and i really dont want to do the timing belt/water pump so soon, or do it and it wasnt the
problem....

the car is a 2006 WRX limited wagon EJ255 motor

Just a quick tip, sometimes a new thermostat can be faulty. Try removing it and testing by placing in a pot of hot water, raise temp until just below boiling and it should open. If not, replace. Sometimes the small water pipes for the carburetor heating system get blocked as well. I always try to replace all the rubber hoses at the same time. Hope this helps

so i have a question after taking all the hoses off, my bottem inlet hose was buldged out so i replaced it... but now im stuck, where is the carburetor heating system located at?

so i guess i found the carburetor heating system, looks like a black box and looks like a second overflow, just 1/4 the size of it, changed all the hoses that needed to be replaced, and used a computer duster for the others to see that its not cracking or blocked, ill let you know when i get paid again so i can pick up some of that subaru antifreeze and additive, thanks man

You could look into a racing thermostat that opens at lower temperature then the OEM one

found the problem... took me almost 3 weeks to find the problem... after taking apart the cooling system, then pretty much lifting the motor out of the bay, i had to disect the block, found out i had blown head gaskets and warped heads.... and apparently it happens alot with the EJ motors.... so 2k later and a Forsale sign on it...
