Floor mat retention bracket bolt size

Question type: General

Even the Subaru parts guy couldn't tell me the bolt
size from his manual.

What is it?

I'm a former aircraft mechanic of the United States Marine Corps.  There is no bolt in place to remove and compare with. (Dumbass ) I thought this was supposed a community of people "in the know". Any valid suggestions consisting of actual dimensions for the bolt.

If you are a former mechanic you should be able to tell just by looking at the hole. Go buy a couple of metric bolts and try them out.

There is probably another floor mat bracket that has a bolt in it. Remove that one.

There is no other one. It is solely for the drivers floorboard to keep the mat from impeding operation of a manual transmission.. Thanks Anyway.
