'01 Crown vic P71 Transmission

Makes winning noise, Shifts hard into 2nd gear when on it but after it gets up to
temperature trans slip to the point of total no go? After cool down, restart the car and
trans winning but has power to spin the rear tires?

Sounds like the bands are scorched in the tranny.

Your 4R70W transmission needs a rebuild.
