Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I brought a new motor and they still did not work, I checked all fuses and they still are not coming on. I have a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria PI, the switch still clicks when you turn but the wipers do not come on. Please help!

For good answers on things like that ask your local auto zone they help me with a lot of questions.

Check for voltage at the plug if it isn't there when the switch is on but the fuse is good, check the fuse center under the hood #116

I've checked fuse under dash, a guy at autozone told me to run wires from my positive and negative to the window motor to see if that works, if it does he said it can possibly by the switch to turn them on located on the steering wheel.

The multi function switch looks to be the problem, the wiper motor switch is in it

My wipers stopped working on my 1987 S/10, I connected a ground wire to back of the motor, works fine. [350ci, 350 tranny, tach/shift light, bucket seats, headers, dual exhaust, electric fans, 2" drop kit front, 4" rear, after market hood, aluminum mags. Moparx2

The wipers on an 1987 S10 are different than the 2004 crown vic, and besides what does your trucks parts inventory have to do with problem at hand.

I have a 2004 Crown Victoria also and I'm having similar problems with my windshield wipers. I had 2 motors installed thinking I had a bad motor and that didn't fix my problem. My windshield wipers only works on one speed. My last resort is taking it to the dealership. I do believe it's a bad sensor or loose wires.

I have a similar issue, replaced both the MFS and the wiper motor, cost me about $250 all together..and they still wouldn't work. After poking around under the hood with the wipers on, I found that moving the wire harness around fixed the problem. Now if I hit a bump or the harness settles into another position they quit working again. Not sure if it's a short near the connector or the connector itself. But I'm going to first see about pushing the wires in better and possibly shimming them in...else I'll just replace the connector. It has been awful chasing this down as it would just seem like I had gremlins living in the engine bay randomly shutting off the wiper motor. TL;DR:. Might check the wire harness and connector to the wiper motor for shorts.
