Anything from a PI from that same generation (and probably the previous generation).

Yes, complete rear ends from 98 to 2008 v8 cvics, gmarquis and rumored but not personally tried, some Lincolns, will all fit, however..number of splines in the axle may be different, as may universal joints (alum or steel driveshafts, models). Swapping over as a complete unit will not pose a problem axle spline wise. Just remember the model and year you got it from in case you need parts. Dont destroy the u joint and save all its parts during removal from the donor car, just in case.
2004 -2011 Crown Vics and Grand Marquis are all the same......1998-03 had an 1 1/2 inch shorter offset on each side. I had to use 1.50 inch spacers on my 1998 grand maquis to mount 2011 mustang wheels which are a direct bolt on for 2004 -2011 Panthers....aka....Crown Vics and Grand Marquis.
