Will a 06 Grand Marquis transmission police interceptor go on at 06 Crown Vic police interceptor
Transmission coming off a 06 Grand Marquis
police package is going on a 06 Crown Vic police
package
"Grand Marquis police package"? The closest thing on a GM to a CV Police Interceptor is their "Handling and Performance Package". I'm not entirely sure they can swap trannies, the CVPI has a long tail shaft, you may find a direct replacement unit from a Town Car versus a Grand Marquis. You really need to look up your trannies model numbers and make comparisons. Scroll down to 2006 on this chart: http://www.idmsvcs.com/2vmod/tranny/modelnumbers/crownvic/ . You'll find 4 models for the civilian package, 2 models for HPP, and 4 models for Police. The police will have long tail shafts. Again, not sure about the HPP and civilian but I think they won't.
