Cooling Fan running constantly after impact.

Asked by Guru9JXXJ8 Apr 26, 2023 at 07:39 PM about the 2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Was in a small fender bender Monday morning where I bumped a car with my front bumper. The damage was minimal. The plastic where the headlight adjusters pass through was cracked-but the lights are good and my grill survived. Now there's a powertrain code indicated and the fan runs constantly. I think they are related. Thanks.

Fixed it weeks ago, this site is so lame. The TFTS wasn't connected well enough after the impact. I opened the tranny to replace it, had the wrong part (the Rock ain't perfect), and wiggled all the connections. Replaced pan, put juice back in, all is fine.
