transmission shift speed

my 2006 envoy winds out too long in first gear before shifting. is there an adjustment ?

This has happened to me personally. Have your throttle position sensor checked. Unfortunately, it's integrated into the throttle body, need to buy whole throttle body IF that's your issue. Likely it is.
