Of course.... depends on what your budget is....I have a Kenwood DNX 893 installed on my RS Adventurous...and a Rydeen wide angle auto dimming mirror in my 2010 Subaru Outback... IF you know what you are doing....you can have ALL these features.... BUT, I would recommend a professional installation... Also, Echo Master proximity sensors are great....you should definitely check them out..... I've provided a couple of links below... IF my answers have been helpful, please mark this " best answer"........... https://echomaster.com http://rydeenmobile.com/back-up-cameras/

Yes. Easily swapped by anyone skilled with screwdrivers! (Grasshopper, please go away.)
Sure...if you're talking about just putting it on the license plate frame...I'm NOT talking about that kind of installation.... And, you certainly cannot properly install proximity sensors that way......

All body parts are universally accepting of Subie's OE systems. Again, PLEASE stop dispensing erroneous and billowy crap.
I don't agree with in this case....if you want the high definition camera mounted in an extremely discreet location...it involves drilling a hole into the rear hatch, feeding the wires from the rear all the way to the front of the car and linking this to the mobile electronics in the dashboard... Again, if you know what to do , fine....it takes a lot of workmanship to conceal all these wires throughout the coach so you don't see anything except the camera on the rear....as for proximity sensors... holes need to be drilled into the bumper and wires need to be fed up to the same electronics..... There's wireless systems that sell for a lot less.... and people just attach them...I've seen both kinds...... depends on how professional you want this to look..... running all these wires is very labor intensive....and needs to be properly done......this is NOT original equipment parts... Proximity sensors are extremely difficult to get right. ,if you are not skilled doing it....... needs angle adjustments....
Look, if you just want a "cheap" backup camera...go to Walmart and pick up a license plate frame......who knows how long it will last ???? Not a good solution. I've seen very "rough installs" ( shoddy workmanship) of other cameras on cars with wires hanging out ..etc.... AGAIN, it really depends on what you want..... I don't want this crap on my cars....

Geez...! All OBs have a space for the OE cameras to be mounted, as they are factory-equipped for this accessory. Stop the pollution, Mark. Please?
Here's the situation: Looking at a 2014 Subaru Outback Premium at a dealer. There's already a backup camera installed. It was connected to an after market stereo/display which has to be removed because the dealer doesn't know the passcode. Dealer initially said they'd replace it with a factory stereo unit and the backup camera would display in-dash on the stereo display. Now they say that this isn't possible and they want to install a rear-view mirror display instead. I don't want that, and would prefer the backup cam to show on the stereo display in-dash. I know the 2014 Outback Premium with moonroof package had a backup cam which displayed in-dash. I want to know if there's a good reason why the dealer can't just install a cam-friendly factory stereo/display from a moonroof package car in this car.
I would insist on a factory radio. If the backup display has to be on the rear view mirror then accept it as the only reasonable option.

FOR is correct; just chase an OE unit from a salvage yard on eBay, like an LKQ agent.
