shouldn't happen, possible you have a battery that was border line from the start when you purchased the car. Possible that something was left on, such as an interior light? First get the car started, jump it if possible then have the battery load tested. if it no good time for a new battery. If you don't use the car much you can purchase a battery disconnect switch, may sure it is installed on the neg side of the battery.

See my question just before yours. I drive my car a lot, but one morning it just decided not to do anything. At first i thought the battery was stolen. Had the dealer check everything and no issues were found. Battery was tested and it was/is good.
