Highbeam kills my engine

Asked by Jose Aug 10, 2024 at 10:38 AM about the 2005 GMC Envoy 4 Dr SLE SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 GMC envoy that recently started dying on me
when I flash my high beams. I also noticed that driver side
is dimmer that the passenger side. All fuses and relays are
good, could this be a short or ground issue?

Could be grounding issues. But it sounds more like voltage drops, bad cables, alternator output low, I have seen a few bad power distribution boxes that will show the same power drops.
