auto start not working

i have a 2014 for focus titanium. it comes with a remote start on the key fob.
however when i push the lock button then the remote start button (twice) the
lights flash and it honks. i can NOT find an answer on forums. dealership had
no idea. can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Maybe your remote needs a new battery? Or, it's broken? I presume that the car starts?

Nope. battery on remote is fine. and remote works. the car does start and runs great no check "X" lights. all other buttons on fob works. this seems to be another issue. most likely with the car.

My son's Focus did the same thing 2017. Just took it in 8/13/18 and Ford had a fix for it after having the car months... Try the dealer again.

Remote srart won't work if your service engine light is on.

@ nschor: Hell Naw! I can believe Ford did that but hey I guess that true because that’s exactly what I have! That’s messed up!
