Car wont start smells like burned electric

2014 Focus SE Flex Fuel

Good my car in for a misfire and flashing check
engine light 2 days ago. The mechanic told me the
cylinder one coil was bad and it needed spark
plugs. So I had them put Motorcraft spark plugs in
and a new coil pack. Today on my way to work it
started misfiring again and the check engine light  
started flashing again. Went and looked at it when
I was at work to try and see if I couldn't feel which
cylinder was misfiring and the coil on cylinder 4
started arcing across to the passenger side of the
car. The motor bogged down and died before I
could get in to shut it back off. Now the car will not
crank or start and the wiring in the engine bay
smells like burned electrical. Got any ideas why
this happened?
