The percentage has nothing to do with the oil level. The car calculates how much life is left on the oil change. Maybe you are due to an oil change or maybe the oil change shop forgot to re-set the service reminder. Checking the oil level is always a good idea.
So if my oil low like it says after checking it . Is it alright to add oil ? And where can I find the type of oil I need for a chevy sonic 2014?
add oil ....try mobil 1 ....10/30 syn
Yes add oil to the full line. The difference between the two lines is 1 quart. Add the appropriate amount and don't overfill.
..and reset or have someone else reset your oil minder so you can stop worrying oil filler cap usually specifies what oil weight to use (I doubt its 10- 30, thats for older cars)
