Transmission 2014

Asked by Dagwood7tk Jun 23, 2018 at 02:29 PM about the 2014 Dodge Avenger V6 SE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Driving down the road at 65mph.
I bumped into neutral then put it
back into gear(drive). Now I
barely have enough power to get
past 65mph. What happened
and is it a simple fix or replace. I
realized I most likely messed it
up. It has 83,000 miles.

If this ever happens, depending on how fast you are traveling, it is best to match your engine rpm with the rpm of which the transmission is moving, usually if traveling below 75 mph, rev to 1500-2500 rpm. If you are traveling at speeds greater than 75 mph, try 3000 rpm.
