Dodge Charger will not start.

Asked by Jay Sep 10, 2018 at 05:11 PM about the 2014 Dodge Charger SE RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2014 Dodge Charger that will not start.

I have checked the fuses, relays, installed a new ignition switch, checked the
battery, neutral-park safety switch and the starter.  The battery is fine, fuses
and relays are good, ignition switch did not make a difference, the battery is
brand new and the neutral-park safety switch works correctly.

When I went to start the car the other day, I pushed the brake and the start
button, and the car did not start.  When I hot-wire the starter relay, use a
conductor between the the power and negative contact points, the car starts
fine no problem.  When I use a test light to check the power and negative
contacts in the fuse box, only one point has power.  Any ideas as to why the
relay isn't working on its on?  Being that I have checked all the fuses and other
relays, I'm not sure what else to check.

My 14 rt doing same thing. battery is good, got a new relay...nothing .putting a new starter in it tomorrow, im not confident its going to resolve issue as the other starter bench tested decently. I dont watch dodge to rape me but looks like it might be the only way. Fingers crossed for tomorrows installation
