I have a 2014 Chrysler 200 that will not start

Asked by LaBree Sep 16, 2017 at 11:25 AM about the 2014 Chrysler 200 LX Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Car will not start. When I turn the key into the start
position I just hear a faint tapping under the hood. I'm not
sure if it's the starter or not, or if it could possibly be a fuse
or relay that I am unaware of. Also my trunk is not opening
either from the FOB or button inside the car which has me
thinking that it may be more electrical than mechanical.
Any advice?

What is the condition of the battery? Have you tried jumping it or putting it on a charger? In addition to making sure you have a fully charged battery check the condition of the battery cables, that none are worn/frayed/loose or stretched.
