what causes a 2014 chevy silverado 2500hd 6.6l shifting solenoid to fail??

has about 2300km. engine light randomly comes on then wont shift out of third gear. then
engine light randomly goes off and it shifts through all 6 gears! what is causing that?

this problem starting happening around 1500km took it to dealership worked fine so they did f all. and since it started happening its does it every 50km or so then goes back to normal after 20-30km
