Heads lights randomly not operating

Asked by Ruby Oct 07, 2020 at 02:50 AM about the 2004 GMC Envoy 4 Dr SLE SUV

Question type: General

My low beams randomly will not operate.
The high beams continue to function. I
verified the bulbs are not burnt out. I am
thinking it's a wiring issue or a fuse problem;
any thoughts?

Hello there. There is actually a recall on this issue, however, not all years are included in the recall. That being said, this problem DOES affect all years. It's your HDM relay in the fuse box under the hood. I believe it's # 46. In a pinch, swap it with the relay that's right next to it #43. There is a new updated relay available, but it's way too expensive. I keep spares in my glove box of the old style.
