What is dynamic curve lighting on a VW Tiguan R-line 2014

Asked by Zulutaylor Jan 07, 2015 at 11:33 AM about the 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line 4Motion

Question type: General

I have a VW Tiguan R-line 2 litre TDI PS 4motion 2014 reg.
I have owned the car for 5 months with LED daytime running lights and Bi-xenon
headlamps, with automatic range adjustment and dynamic curve lighting. The dynamic
curve effect has recently stopped working and th main VW dealer claims they are OK and
only switch an additional bulb on when turning at a junction. I know this is rubbish as they
were as I described until a week ago. In addition the VW official brochure States on page
23 that dynamic curved lighting is standard on this model.
Please can you confirm that I am correct?

dynamic curve lighting is when the head light swivels into your turns. If they were working before and not now they might have just had the grese dry out in them. if the previous vw dealer does not fix the issue look for a second dealership and get them to check it out. If it broke they are obligated to replace it. YAnd you also have the right to demand they replace the entire head light unit with a new one if you think they are wrong as it is a part covered under warranty. Be sure they replace it with the same type part tho so snap a shot of the make and modal of the light sticker before the work is done to be sure it is replaced with the same type unit. Also if you keep getting railroaded at the door service demand to speak with the dealships owner or manager and discus your problem to them but be sure you provide a good strong argument and know what you want done before you charge in there. Also i am linking a video that clearly states the moving headlights come standard with your car. it is about 3/4 of the way thre wthe video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjSJVfCzSl0

Did you ever find an answer to this question? Not in my car at this second, but this feature can be turned off and on using the right thumb control on the steering wheel. You may have accidentally turned it to the off mode. Well, this was five years ago, so I’m guessing you’ve already resolved this issue. For anyone searching for the answer, here it is.
