How can I lock my car with the engine running so I can leave the air

Take the dog for a walk or leave it home , you like to drive around and do things , dogs like to take walks and sniff things out ,

Bad response! That doesn't really work when you're traveling and you're the only one in the car besides your dog and you have to take a break from driving and can't take him in the bathroom with you. Try again!!

Not long ago our local police officer left his patrol dog in the cruiser with the A/C on while he was eating Lunch inside the pizza joint. The A/C quit running and the dog died from heat stroke. I did notice they leave the hood open to help the engine heat escape but any one of those many A/C components can quit and it don't take long to die in a black car in the sun with windows up. So I fully agree with beatupchevy.

Not an option, I just need 5 minutes to go to the bathroom without someone stealing my car, with my dog inside, when I'm on a long road trip.

You got it! I finally figured it out. Manually lock all doors except the drivers door- start the car with the fob- use the concierge key to lock the drivers door. When you get back, unlock the drivers door with the concierge key. Thank you

I don’t have a remote start on my fob. Wish I did.
