My 2003 gmc savana keeps acting like it wants to over heat how can i trouble shoot to find out what the problem is

My radiator is not leaking nor is my
resivor

if the thermostat is original, I would start by changing that out first. 99% of the time, that's what causes over heating issues. If after replacing and it still is getting high up on the temp scale, post back.
