GMC Envoy

Asked by Ajatta Aug 14, 2017 at 05:06 PM about the 2002 GMC Envoy 4 Dr SLE 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I Have a 2002 GMC Envoy and one say I was driving
when I felt the car pulling. I went from going 50mph to
only being able to go 30 mph and now 20mph .  20mph is
the fastest I can go now. I want to know what would be
best to get a transmission rebuild, or a new transmission.

I would go new. Labor for rebuild might be as expensive and you don't have new. Check prices as it is your decision based on green backs. eBay has lots of warehouses with new and rebuilt ones with warranty.

I didn't replace my transmission when this happened. It turned out I was driving around with 3 of the 6 cylinders firing. Replaced all coils and spark plugs runs good now.
