i just changed ignition switch.still nothing,does starter relay have anything to do.it just clicks

i changed ignition switch,evrything lights up on dash but no starter engagment

i had replaced the battery.then i replaced the ignition.i disconnecte the neg, battery terminal and removed the starter without disconnecting the wires on starter.then i replaced the negative wire back on battery an a second person turned the switch to start the vehicle.the starter hesitated an then died.it wasn't a countinous purr so i replaced starter.disconnect neg. wire an then take starter wires off.stater is in bad spot,if u have small hands it will b easier.

So you would say it is the starter not having enough power or any at all to crank over the motor? I'm having same issue. I just bought a new battery. I was going to go home and put a new battery in and then hit the freaking starter wirh a hammer hard enough but not like banging it to see if it freed it up enough crank over. I'm at loss on this crap also.

I replaced wirh new battery, new ignition switch, hit the starter a few times and nothing. But when I hotwire the ignition switch pink to red it fires up. Any help please?
