THERE IS NO "AWD" BUTTON! THERE IS A 4WD BUTTON--- YOUR CAR OPPERATES ON FWD UNTIL THE FRONT WHEELS LOOSE TRACTION THEN THE AWD GIZZMO STARTS PUTTING TRACTION TO THE REAR WHEELS (UP TO 50/50 SPLIT) FRONT TO REAR---ALL AUTOMATIC---- THE 4WD BUTTON LOCKS THE REAR END TO A 50/50 SPLIT FROM START UP TO 18 MPH WHEN IT DISENGAGES! IT WILL RE -ENGAGE WHEN YOU DROP BACK UNDER 18 MPH- IT IS USED TO GET YOU OUT OF A STUCK SITUATION FROM THE START OR UP A SLIPPERY HILL- ONCE YOU GET GOING JUST TURN IT OFF- IF YOU NEED THE WHEELS TO SPIN TO DIG OUT , TURN OFF THE "ESC" THIS WILL LET THE WHEELS SPIN AN DIG DOWN TO GET YOU GOING- THEN TURN IT BACK ON! 4WD OFF, WHILE ON DRY ROAD OR POOF , YOU BROKE IT!-- IF YOU REMEMBER THIS YOU WILL ALWAYS GET OUT AND BACK WITH THE HYUNDAI!

If one is seated in ones Hyundai and wants to lock the car before starting the car, how can one do it. It seems dangerous to not be able to lock car before initiating the motor?
