Car won't start normally anymore

Asked by SamMachine Feb 26, 2019 at 11:13 PM about the 2006 Acura MDX AWD with Touring Package and Navigation

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi everyone, I have a 2006 Acura MDX. It has about 150,000 miles on it.
Yesterday I drove back home and parked it in my garage late last night. Then
around afternoon (4:00 PM ish) it wouldn't start when the key goes directly to
the crank position.

After tampering with it for a couple minutes I found that the only way to start
it is to put the key in the ignition then turn to the Accessory position. Then
wait a couple seconds and turn to the crank position.

Does anyone know why my car wont start normally when immediately
turning to the crank position?
