Could be a faulty new part. If a exchanging doesn't help, have the engine scanned again.

when I had check light problems, I just changed my air filter and the light when off immediately. My MAS was however one of the areas of concern. To keep it clean I go buy pipe cleaners from a smoke shop and use the tiny fiber rods to clean out the "eyeglass" in the part/ instrument. The MAS might look different however in that car.

I had an independent mechanic diagnose bad Mass Air Flow with his plug-in diagnostic tool, but replacing that MAS did not make the check engine light go out. He called a senior mechanic that said to replace the PCV valve. That also did not make the light go out.
